Paramotor Chiang Mai FAQ
How much is a paramotor flight in Chiang Mai?
Discovery is ฿1,990 per person (10 minutes), Standard is ฿2,900 per person (15-20 minutes), Standard Pair is ฿5,500 for 2 people, and Sunrise / Sunset is ฿4,500 per person. Book online with a ฿299 deposit per booking and pay the balance in cash at the airfield.
Is paramotoring safe?
Every flight is flown by a professional pilot, weather and equipment are checked before takeoff, and every package includes accident insurance. Whether to fly is always the pilot's decision on the day.
Can beginners fly?
Yes. It's a tandem flight seated with your pilot, so you need no experience or training. The pilot handles everything.
What's the difference between paramotoring and paragliding?
Paragliding relies on air currents and usually launches from high ground. A paramotor has an engine, so it takes off from flat ground and can follow a scenic route.
When are the best views in Chiang Mai?
We fly daily, weather permitting, from 06:30 to 09:00 and from 16:00 to 17:30. Winter mornings (November to February) give you a chance of mist covering the valley.
Do I need to book ahead? Can I cancel or reschedule?
We recommend booking 1-3 days ahead. The deposit is non-refundable, but you can change your date with 1-2 days' notice.
What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
If conditions aren't safe to fly, we'll rebook you for free at no extra cost.
Are there weight, height or age limits?
Flyers should weigh under 100 kg, be about 140-190 cm tall and aged 12 or over, with guardian consent for children. Please tell us in advance about any medical condition or pregnancy.
How long does it take, and is pickup included?
Allow about 1.5-2 hours per session, including travel, gearing up and the safety briefing. Pickup is free within about 15 km of Chiang Mai city, except for the Discovery package, which has an extra fee based on distance.
